The 2017 Photoworks Youth Competition showcases the breadth of talent among a great number of budding photographers (all 18 years of age and younger) from the Washington, D.C. area and elsewhere around the country. The selections for inclusion in the exhibition at Glen Echo range from intimate portraits to street scenes and from explorations of nature to travel shots. First place, second place and third place winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony and Reception on Saturday, August 12th, 4:00 to 6:00, at Photoworks. Please join us in celebrating the incredible talent of these young photographers!
More about the juror: Ashley Givens, Independent Curator, previously Assistant Curator of Photographs at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London and former Director of Education, Kreeger Museum, Washington, DC., will serve as the juror for the exhibition.
